Anne-Charlotte Gauthron’s passion for guiding was born at home, through her father François’s lifelong dedication to remembrance.
As a child, she listened to veterans’ testimonies and discovered the emotional weight of their stories. Those encounters, combined with her multicultural education and curiosity about people, opened her eyes to the world and to the importance of passing on memory with empathy and precision.
What makes Anne-Charlotte’s tours unique is her approach: human, accessible, and sensitive to each visitor’s experience.
She combines historical rigor with a sincere interest in people, ensuring that every traveler, from veterans’ families to younger generations, feels connected to the story of Normandy.
Her calm presence, attention to detail, and sense of narrative make her a guide appreciated for her authenticity and emotional intelligence.
Today, Anne-Charlotte Gauthron works alongside her father, François Gauthron, within Europe Battlefield Tours. Together, they offer D-Day tours, private and custom tours of Normandy, and regional tours across France. A collaboration that bridges generations and styles while sharing the same respect for history.
Her passion for medieval history has led her to specialize in organizing short tours around Normandy’s gems, helping travelers discover the region’s richness through the eyes of a native guide.
Whether you want to explore the D-Day beaches or visit Normandy with friends or family, Anne-Charlotte will guide you through its landmarks with warmth, clarity, and care.
