1. Introduction

Welcome to Europe Battlefields Tours ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, booking platform, and all tours, activities, experiences, and related services we provide (“Services”).

By accessing our website or booking any Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

2. Eligibility

By using our Services, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or accompanied by a legal guardian.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • You will provide accurate and complete information during booking.

3. Description of services

We provide guided tours, private tours, transportation services, educational commentary, and a variety of cultural, historical, and leisure experiences throughout Normandy and other destinations in France.

All itineraries, durations, and descriptions are provided for general guidance and may be adjusted due to:

  • weather conditions,
  • site access restrictions,
  • safety considerations,
  • operational needs,
  • local regulations.

We reserve the right to modify or substitute any part of the tour without prior notice.

4. Booking, pricing & payment

  • All bookings must be made through our website or via direct communication with us.
  • Prices are listed in Euros and may change at any time.
  • A booking is confirmed only once full payment (or required deposit) has been received.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your payment information is accurate and authorized.

We reserve the right to cancel any booking if payment is invalid, incomplete, or suspected of fraud.

4.1 Payment Processing (Stripe)

Payments made through our website are processed securely via Stripe, a third‑party payment processor. By completing a booking, you authorize Stripe to process your payment and agree to be bound by Stripe’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not store, handle, or have access to your credit card details; all sensitive payment information is managed exclusively by Stripe using industry‑standard encryption and security protocols.

5. Cancellation, refunds & changes

5.1 Cancellations by the customer

  • Cancellations made 15 days before the tour date: full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days: non-refundable.
  • No-shows are non-refundable.

5.2 Cancellations by the provider

We may cancel or reschedule a tour due to:

  • severe weather,
  • guide illness,
  • transportation issues,
  • safety concerns,
  • force majeure events.

In such cases, you may choose between:

  • a full refund, or
  • rescheduling to another available date.

We are not responsible for additional expenses such as flights, hotels, or transportation.

5.3 Changes requested by the customer

Any change request (date, time, number of participants) is subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

6. Assumption of risk

By participating in our tours, you acknowledge that:

  • Tours may involve walking, uneven terrain, stairs, outdoor exposure, and variable weather.
  • Historical sites may have limited accessibility or rough ground.
  • You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

You agree that you are physically capable of participating and will notify us of any medical or mobility concerns prior to the tour.

7. Safety & conduct

You agree to:

  • follow all instructions from your guide,
  • behave respectfully toward other participants,
  • comply with local laws and site regulations.

We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate, without refund.

8. Transportation

If transportation is included:

  • Vehicles comply with French safety regulations.
  • Seat belts must be worn at all times.
  • We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, road closures, or unforeseen circumstances.

9. Accessibility (ADA disclaimer)

While we strive to accommodate all guests, some historical sites may have:

  • uneven ground,
  • steep paths,
  • limited wheelchair access,
  • restricted vehicle access.

Please contact us in advance to discuss specific needs. We will do our best to assist but cannot guarantee full accessibility at all locations.

10. Personal belongings

We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal items during tours or while using our Services.

11. Historical content disclaimer

We aim to provide historically accurate information based on reputable sources. However:

  • interpretations may vary,
  • some information is subject to historical debate,
  • we do not guarantee absolute accuracy.

Our guides provide educational commentary, not academic certification.

12. Intellectual property
