Your Itinerary in Brittany

Day 1 : From Normandy (or Paris) to Saint-Malo via Cancale

  • Morning departure from Bayeux or Mont-Saint-Michel.
  • First stop at Dol-de-Bretagne, a charming medieval town with mansions and the fascinating Cathedraloscope Museum, dedicated to Gothic architecture and cathedral building.
  • Continue along the Mont-Saint-Michel Bay to Cancale, famous for its oysters
  • Lunch at the renowned Bistrot Marin Le Coquillage, run by Chef Olivier Roellinger.
  • Afternoon stroll through the fishing village and a panoramic stop at the Pointe du Grouin nature reserve.
  • Drive along the Emerald Coast to Saint-Malo for the night.

Day 2 : The Emerald Coast

  • Morning walking tour of Saint-Malo, city of corsairs and shipowners: granite houses, ramparts, and port views.
  • Continue along the Emerald and Penthièvre coasts with a quick stop city tour of Dinard, then visit Fort La Latte, a 14th-century fortress overlooking the sea.
  • Stop at Cap Fréhel, one of Brittany’s most stunning natural sites, with pink granite cliffs and sweeping ocean views.
  • Afternoon through Erquy and Pléneuf-Val-André, small fishing harbours known for scallops and coastal charm.
  • Overnight in Saint-Malo, dinner at leisure.

Day 3 : The Rance Valley and Dinan

  • Drive along the scenic Rance River valley, passing picturesque harbours like Saint-Suliac.
  • Stop at Dinan, one of Brittany’s best-preserved medieval towns: ramparts, half-timbered houses, and the famous Jerzual Street leading down to the harbour.
  • Free time before returning to Rennes for your TGV back to Paris, or return to Bayeux by private transport.
